Sometimes, there's a lot to be said for "fettling" old pieces of equipment, and in getting some extra life out of "broken" kit. If I can save £50 on every piece of hardware - perhaps I can eventually afford that Ludwig Supraphonic!
A subtle restoration and revoicing of my old 1998 Fender Nashville Telecaster. Finally - it's more of a TELECASTER - rather than a Stratocaster with a couple of Telecaster pickups. What's more... it rocks!
With repairs and restoration on the neck and body complete - it's time to begin the re-build. Most of the original components will be replaced, but some will be swapped out as upgrades, or as new replacements for worn parts.
Fixing a nut which has been cut slightly low - resulting in some fret buzz at the first fret, on open strings.
Repairing damage to the neck pocket area - where an over-tightened neck plate has compressed the body wood, and split the polyester finish.
